How to read the Atlas
Nearly every private chef in the country works on Providenciales and travels to your villa, condo, beach or boat, so this Atlas opens with every operator and who cooks what, then shows how you are charged.
Start with the directory
Every operator is shown the same way, alphabetically within its type, without photos, and marked as own site or directory sourced.
Then match the brief
Who cooks what sorts the same names by cuisine, diet and occasion, from kosher dinners to aircraft catering.
Then check the cost
Chef fee, groceries, provisioning, service charge, the 12% tax, staff and gratuity: the cost section shows each line.

Common questions
How much does a private chef cost in the Turks and Caicos?
Published chef fees for a dinner for up to eight guests start from $500, with breakfast from $275 and lunch from $400. That fee excludes food. Once groceries, a provisioning fee and tax are added, a dinner for eight typically lands between about $1,390 and $2,160 on the published figures.
Are groceries included in the chef fee?
Usually not. The common arrangement is that the chef shops and you reimburse the receipt total plus a fee of about 15%. Fixed per-head menus and booking platforms include ingredients in the price.
Is tax added on top?
The 12% government tourism tax is typically applied on top of quoted fees. Some operators also add a service charge; Caicos Catering states 12% tax and an 18% service charge on the menu cost of in-villa chef meals, and Kissing Fish states 12% tax and a 15% catering fee. Ask for a quote that shows each line.
Should I tip a private chef?
Gratuity is discretionary. If your quote already carries a service charge, ask whether it goes to the chef and team before adding more.
How far ahead should I book?
One to two weeks ahead in peak season, and earlier for Christmas, New Year and weddings. Outside peak, some chefs can work with 24 to 48 hours.
Can chefs handle kosher, vegan, gluten-free and allergy menus?
Yes. Several state it outright: see Who cooks what. Give the full list of requirements when you first enquire, because specialty items may need to be flown in.
What is not included that people assume is?
Wine and spirits, tableware on platform bookings, extra servers for larger groups, and equipment such as tents and tables for beach events.
Who caters airlines and private jets?
Top O' the Cove handles a good share of airline and private jet catering on Providenciales under its Sky Catering name, including through the Atlantic Aviation private terminal. Caicos Catering, Chef SJ, Chef Turks and Caicos and Kissing Fish also cater aircraft. Order ahead so specialty items can be sourced, and have it delivered to your terminal.
Can a chef cook on the beach or on a boat?
Yes. Several caterers run beach barbecues and bonfires and can bring tables, tents and lighting, and a number of chefs cater yachts and private aircraft. For a day on the water see the Charter Atlas.
